Experience & Training
Clinical Background
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in Texas practicing under the clinical supervision of Linda R. Millican, LPC-S, LMFT-S, LCDC, EMDR Therapist. Before entering private practice, I spent more than three and a half years working in community mental health.
During that time, I provided individual therapy to children and adolescents experiencing a variety of emotional, behavioral, and mental health concerns. I also conducted comprehensive mental health intake assessments for clients of all ages, helping individuals and families begin their journey toward receiving appropriate care. These experiences strengthened my clinical skills and deepened my passion for providing compassionate, evidence-based treatment.
I work primarily with children, adolescents, and young adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, behavioral concerns, low self-esteem, life transitions, and stress. I understand that every client has a unique story, and I tailor treatment to meet each individual's strengths, needs, and goals.

Therapeutic Philosophy
A Collaborative, Client-Centered Approach
My approach to counseling is collaborative, evidence-based, and client-centered. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), along with play-based and creative interventions, to help children, adolescents, and young adults build coping skills, process difficult experiences, strengthen emotional regulation, and achieve their personal goals.
I believe therapy should be engaging, practical, and tailored to each client's unique needs. When appropriate, I partner with parents and caregivers to support progress beyond the therapy room.
I believe therapy is about more than reducing symptoms — it's about helping people better understand themselves, build healthy relationships, strengthen resilience, and gain confidence in navigating life's challenges. My goal is to create a supportive environment where clients feel empowered to make meaningful and lasting changes.

I strive to create a welcoming environment where clients feel safe, respected, and understood. Together, we will identify your goals, build practical coping strategies, and work toward meaningful growth at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Whether you are seeking support for yourself or your child, I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing, hope, and lasting change.
Beyond the Office
Outside of the office, I enjoy playing guitar, spending time with my dog, and continuing to expand my clinical knowledge through ongoing professional training so I can provide the highest quality care for my clients.
